Something I will just never understand.

So, I'm wondering if anyone else has run across this issue.  Does anyone else have that one facebook friend (or a few) that is constantly posting about the horrendously unhealthy food they've just eaten, only to turn around and complain about how HUGE they are?  (Just so everyone knows, this person that I'm referring to is not a close friend of mine, in fact she's more of an acquaintance, so anyone that reads this blog shouldn't worry that I'm talking about them.)  I'm really getting tired of hearing about it.  I'm sorry, but if you are overweight and you continue to eat unhealthy, fattening foods, you will continue to be overweight.  Everyone is sick of you fishing for compliments.  I have a few friends that are overweight, but are actively doing something about it, if you are one of those and are reading this, know that I commend you for changing yourself and you are free to vent to me anytime about how hard it is to be healthy and get in shape.  But I'm really tired of hearing how fat someone is when they refuse to do anything to change it.

We all have times where we feel insecure about our bodies.  I've had many of these so called "fat days".  I know that I am by no means "fat" or even a little overweight, but my point is that no one is ever 100% happy with their body.  But do you want to know what I do when I'm unhappy with how I look?  I make changes!  I make a conscious effort to eat better and to spend some more time working out.

Point of the story:  If you're not willing to make a change to better yourself...I don't want to hear how fat you think you are.

It's hard to lose, it really is, and I know that from 50 pounds of experience, but I completely agree with you that you really have to do something about it instead of sit on your ass and complain. And a lot of it is also finding activities and interests that have nothing to do with your weight because then you don't focus on it as much. And the happier your life is the less likely you are to focus on that one thing. If you are secure in yourself for other reasons then you don't need to fish for compliments. True story. My goodness I wish you lived closer. :)
