Bedroom? Check!

2.)   Organize the master bedroom so that there is minimal "stuff" visible and it has an actual style instead of just mish mosh.  (I really would like our bedroom to look very simple and uncluttered.  It's been slowly getting that way, but I'd really like it to be totally finished when he gets home.)

The bedroom is complete.  Organization wise anyway.  There is still a lot to do in terms of decorating it and whatnot, but at least it's clean and organized in a way that is easy for me to keep it that way.  Like the closet, everything in the room has a home, so there will be no more just tossing stuff in piles to "deal with later".  James even has his own laundry hamper now, so there is no danger of him ruining my clothes when he tries to do laundry.

I finally have a nightstand.  I had to basically beg James to let me have a nightstand...if you know my husband, you know he's very anti furniture and very pro lots of empty space.  We agreed on a bedding set and a color scheme for the room, so now it's easier for me to make decor decisions when he's not around because we have a clear idea of what we agree on.  Next on my list for stuff for the bedroom are some *gasp* decorative pillows for the bed.  James hates pillows with a passion, which is funny, because he sure steals mine a lot at night.  So we'll see how that one goes over.  That might be one I have to tackle while he's at C-school in March.

I also still want a new dresser.  I found one that's perfect at the same store that we bought our couch from, but you have to buy the whole bedroom set to get the dresser because it's discontinued!  Ugh.

Of course, it will have our 36 inch flat screen on it instead of a mirror, but hey, you have to compromise sometimes.

My list of *wants* for the bedroom:
  • Decorative Pillows
  • New Dresser
  • Wall art (besides the one that's there now, that's going to be in our bathroom eventually)

I still love your bed oh so much! It looks great! But yeah, you should definitely convince James to get a new dresser. Don't over do it with the pillows unless you plan to make your bed every day. Most of my closet is just to store the 20 million pillows I put on the bed when I want it to look like a hotel.

I only want 3 decorative pillows. I think 2 small square ones and one bolster pillow. And I've actually gotten really good about making the bed every day! I'm proud of myself. But I do know what you mean, when I lived with my parents, my bed there was FULL of pillows.

Yeah...3 is ok. We keep 4 on there all the time and then I've got 8 more stored away. It's an addiction.
