Does anyone else cringe....
Does anyone else cringe when you are reading an email or a blog post or a forum post and the poster makes several grammatical errors consistently when they're typing? I don't mean like they forgot a comma here or there or something minor, but when they make significant mistakes. Let's talk about the ones that make me want to gauge my eyeballs out...
- When you think of the conjunction should've or would've, it actually means should have or would have, not should of or would of.
- Lose (with one "o") means something you have lost. Loose (with two "o"s) means something that is not tight. For example: you do not loose your keys, and your clothes do not get lose when you loose weight.
- The word congratulations does not have a "D" anywhere in it. So do not write "congrads". It should be "congrats" if you're going to shorten it.
I'm sure there are more, but I've seen those three a LOT lately. Just know that if you are guilty of any of those, I'm not gonna lie, I probably judged you. That's not to say that I think people that make silly mistakes on and off are stupid. Just the people that make the SAME ones over and over and over again.
