What month & year were you married?
July 2008

How did he ask you?
He prepared a romantic dinner for two and decorated the room with stars (because the weather was bad and we were originally supposed to go star watching). Then he asked me to dance and after a few minutes he told me how much he loved me and then got down on one knee.

Where did you honeymoon?
Boston, MA

Can you still fit in your dress?
I'd certainly hope so, it was only like a week ago!

What was the worst gift you got?
We really didn't get ANY bad gifts! We got really lucky. My parents ended up giving us a car!

What flavor was your wedding cake?
It was a 3 tier. The top and bottom layers were chocolate and the middle was vanilla.

Were you a bridezilla?
I was not. I actually got called Bride-chilla.

What's one thing you would change about your wedding?
It would have lasted a little longer. And I wish more people had stayed for the reception after the ceremony.

Do you still look at your wedding pics?
Well I haven't even gotten all of them yet. But the ones I have, I look at a lot.

Tangerine and Fuschia

Grandview Manor in Foster, VA

Whats one funny thing that happened that day?
My flower girl had a hissy fit and dumped her petals everywhere on the way down the aisle. It was AWESOME!

Did you cry?
A little during the ceremony and a LOT during the dance with my dad.

Did you give any wedding favors away?
Yes, we had votive candles, koozies, and hand fans.

Who caught the flowers and garter?
My friend Danielle caught the bouquet and our friend Allen caught the garter.

Who was your officiant or minister?
My grandfather

How much was your wedding dress, undergarments and all?
OMG probably close to $700

Was there dancing?
Yes

Where was the reception?
The same place as the ceremony

Would you go back and do it over again?
In a heartbeat

How long did you have to plan your wedding?
We got engaged on June 23, 2007, but I'd been planning it somewhat before that.

What kind of car were you in when you drove away?
A white Jeep Liberty

Did you do anything different in your wedding or reception?
Not really "different"

Did you save the top layer of your cake for your 1 year anniversary?
No, because we would have had to find a way to transport it to Hawaii. So we just let the guests eat that too.

What was the grand total spent on your wedding?
I really don't know. But I would estimate between $8,000 and $10,000

Who traveled the farthest to attend your wedding?
I think probably my Aunt Karen, she came from Alaska

Do you regret having anyone in your bridal party?
No. Not one bit. They were all fantastic.
